Our third trip to Tassie.

          Hastings Caves

Huon Bush Retreats & Mt Misery, Huonville

Katy’s perfect bath…

Click here to see a video of a little possum eating an apple.  The picture quality isn’t great

but the best part is the sound, so turn up the volume!  Don’t worry folks, this

time there were no bitten fingers.

          Cygnet

Kettering

Heron’s Rise Vineyard, where we stayed for a night and sampled their Pinot Noir…

Bruny Island

The ferry across to Bruny Island

North & South Bruny Island are joined by this sandy isthmus.  This is where the penguins live as you’ll see below…

Cloudy Bay Cabin.  A very remote location at the southern end of the island.

Katy’s self portrait… don’t tell her I said that!

The walk to East Cloudy Head…

We stumbled across this baby echidna on the way…

Click here to see a video of this little fella.

A full day’s walk around the Labilladiere Peninsular…

Fairy Penguin (or to be more politically correct, Little Penguin) spotting…

Sorry, no photos of penguins, but you get to look at us instead.  We set up at the back of the

dunes where the little penguins nearly walked straight into us as they came up the beach. It

must have been the amazing camouflage!?

Port Arthur, Tasman Peninsular

A maximum security jail for pommy convicts built around 1830 (old by Aussie standards!)

The Parsonage, one of the most haunted buildings in Australia, or so they told us on the ghost tour…

The Isle of the Dead.  Over 1100 convicts buried on this small island…

Cape Hauy walking track…

Rewarded with stunning views at the end of the trail…

Fortescue Bay… another beautiful secluded beach…

Tessellated Pavement…

Cascades Cottage.  An old convict station…

Each one of these little dots is actually a crab.  There were thousands of the little things…

Managed to get a close-up before he buried himself in the mud…

The very English town of Richmond
